George Hennessy of Oak Lake, Manitoba, was born November 2, 1941, in Kenora, Ontario. George passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 16, 2023.
George spent his earlier years in Kenora before the family moved to Winnipeg. George moved to Oak Lake in 1981 after purchasing the Oak Land Hotel.
George was predeceased by parents Howard and Rita Hennessy. He is survived by his life partner Joyce Milne, daughter Bonnie Hodgson (Jim), stepchildren Danny Faucher and Michelle Faucher (Tracy), five grandsons, two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving George are sisters Margaret Tresoor (George) and Elizabeth Woloski (Al).
In keeping with George’s wishes there will be no service. Donations in memory of George may be made to a charity of your choice.
