On Wednesday, August 16, Mary Ann McLaren died at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg at the age of 89.
She was born on December 13, 1933. In 1952 she married Robert McLaren, and together they raised four children: Karen (Paul) Baird, Deb Robertson, Susan (Harry) dePutter and Bruce McLaren.
Her funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, September 8, at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, followed by her interment in Brookside Cemetery.

I have known Mame since I was about 8 years old. I loved everything about her, she said exactly what she thought and always told the truth. She was my leader in C.G.I.T. at Calvin Presbyterian Church and I have considered her a dear friend my whole life. Rob said the speech to the bride at my wedding. The last time I visited with her was in 2019. I will miss her newsy Christmas cards and her lively wit. Rest in Peace, Mame, you have earned it.
