SUZANNE (SUZIE) MARIE KATHLEEN LAGACÉ

(nee HOGUE)

August 4, 1961 – August 12, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Suzie, our loving, caring, strong and beautiful, wife, mother, sister, daughter-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. On August 12, 2023, at the age of 62, after a short battle with Cancer, Suzie passed away peacefully with her family by her side and was reunited with her son, Matthew.
Left to mourn are her husband Claude, daughter Bernadette, brother Gerald (Karen), sister Michelle (Willie), mother-in-law Eveline, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Suzie was raised in Sanford, MB. After marrying the love of her life, Claude, she moved to La Salle, where for the past 35 years, they built a wonderful life together with their two children, Matthew and Bernadette. The love and support she gave to her family was immeasurable. Family meant everything. Suzie lived life to the fullest through her love for family and friends, camping in St. Malo and Beausejour, playing bingo, and of course, having season tickets to the Winnipeg Jets! Suzie was an honest, loving, genuine person who cared so much for anyone who crossed her path. She made everyone feel like family. Suzie touched the lives of so many and will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, smile and, most importantly, her big heart. Suzie brought so much joy, love, and happiness to us all.
Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses, health care aids and the rest of the staff in Emergency, and on GD-5 at HSC, for their amazing care and compassion for Suzie.
A funeral mass will be held at La Salle St. Hyacinthe Church Saturday, September 2, 2023. Eulogy will begin at 12:30 p.m., with Mass to follow. A reception will be held after the Mass at the Caisse Community Centre. The funeral service will be live-streamed. Please see Mosaic website for further details.
In lieu of flowers, please direct your generosity to any of the following charities: True North Youth Foundation, CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
