DARREN JOWETT
We are saddened to announce the passing of Darren Jowett, age 63 on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
Darren was predeceased by his father, mother and brother.
He leaves to mourn his nephews, Matt and Adam; sister-in-law Eleanor; Aunty Marcia; and numerous cousins.
He lived with his parents until his father’s failing health required him to move to Queenston Community Living Home. He enjoyed the camaraderie of his new housemates and the succession of staff.
We want to give thanks to all the caregivers he had in his many years there. They were so patient with him. Darren always had tips for them from cooking, grocery shopping, using flyers, and fixing things, the best coffee and his favourite, his critique on who were the best Handi-Transit drivers.
His million dollar smile inspired us all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Pulford Community Living Services, 1146 Waverly St., Unit 5 on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.

Growing up on Parker Avenue, I have wonderful memories of the Jowett family. Darren’s laughter and sense of humour never failed to brighten our day. Darren was an inspiration in so many ways. RIP dear Darren. My sincere condolences to the family and friends of this beautiful soul. My Mom Effie Isford will be especially saddened to hear of Darren’s passing. How Darren loved to laugh and joke with my Mom. - Posted by: Louise Horst (Former neighbour) on: Aug 28, 2023

I used to drive Darren to Versatech many years ago with my helper, Kathy. I could never forget how pleasant Darren was in spite of all his challenges. He loved to tease and he loved to laugh. What a joyful person to be around! Sad to know he is gone from here but I'm sure he left many happy memories with those who knew him. bus driver, Grace - Posted by: Grace Pelletier (acquaintance) on: Aug 26, 2023
