BRANT ERICKSON

Brant passed away on August 25, 2023, in Gimli surrounded by his family, following a diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s Disease six years ago.

He is survived by his beloved children, Jessica and James. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Lynne (Otto), Craig (Michelle) and Kim (Darren), and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Brant lived in Winnipeg for most of his adult life, moving home to Riverton where he was close to family and made many new connections. As the disease progressed he moved to Gimli Betel where he found a whole new family of caring people. He will be greatly missed by all of us who loved him and celebrate his release from the indignities of this disease.

Please join us to celebrate his life on Wednesday, August 30 at the Lakeview Resort in Gimli at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

Condolences may be left on his tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli

in care of arrangements.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • My deepest, heartfelt condolences to Brant’s family, especially Jessica and James. I knew Brant for well over four decades and, although we lost touch over the years, I will remember him with fondness. He could be very serious and focussed, but loved to joke and tease, always ready with a smile. May your cherished memories carry you through this difficult time and bring you peace. Sending hugs and love. - Posted by: Lorna (Bardarson) Smith (Friend) on: Aug 30, 2023

  • My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Dianna (Dr. Prenovaul old receptionist.) on: Aug 29, 2023

  • Sad to hear of Brant's passing I knew him from my Norwood days where we met through mutual friends and spent the night dancing and chatting and having laughs and fun. He is at peace now looking over everyone. Condolences to his family at this time. - Posted by: Cynthia Whitfield-Laurent (Friend) on: Aug 29, 2023
