Peacefully, on the evening of August 12, 2023, with the biggest love of his life by his side, our dear husband, father, grandpa passed away from complications of cancer.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Effie (Stasiuk) and Harry, his siblings, William, Peter, John, Olga, Nick, Mike, Maurice, and Jarvis, siblings-in-law, Grant Beakley, Elizabeth Sawka, Mary Sawatzky and Mildred McDonald.
He will be profoundly missed by his wife of 45 years, Shirley (Sawka), their sons, David (Tara Stobert, and their children, Mackenzie and Devin) and Jerred (Renée Taillefer, and their children, Henrik and Olika). Robert will also be fondly remembered by his sister Diane (Beakley), his brother Eugene and sister-in-law Elsie Andreychuk, and his sister Eleanor and brother-in-law Bernie Halischak.
Though we are saddened, and the space left by Dad's departure will be difficult to fill, we are also at peace knowing the suffering is over. You are home, Dad. We love you.
As were Robert's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of his life will take place at a later time.
