With hearts filled with sadness, we lost a kind, gentle and giving man on August 24, 2023. Our dad, Ralph passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital after congestive heart failure and most recently Covid.

Dad married Mom in 1962 and they were blessed with three children: Kim, Sandra, and Brian. They resided in Winnipeg until 1974 when they built and moved to their new home in St. Andrews, Manitoba and lived there until 2022 after which Mom and Dad lived back in Winnipeg.
He is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth; daughter Sandra; his parents and many of his siblings.
Dad will be missed by his children, Kim (Martin) Sysa, Brian (Maria) Turton and his grandsons, Matthew and Wesley.
Gratitude and thanks for the care he received at both Victoria and Grace Hospitals. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, and care aids who treated him with kindness and compassion.

I have known Ralph since I was really young. That is when he was dating my sister Elizabeth. Then they were married at a later date. Ralph liked to tease and make you laugh and was exceptionally kind. Always helping whenever he could. When Elizabeth went nursing school, Ralph Al's moved to be closer to her and drove her home on holidays and school breaks. I went to Winnipeg several times and stayed at Ralph's and Elizabeth's home and was always treated kindly . I also varied my stay with my sister Marjorie and my mother. I offer my condolences to all family members and the immediate family members 🙏 . May God comfort all families. The celebration of life will bring good memories ✨️ to love and behold . I have many memories of your dad being very generous with his time. He never said no to driving me home after brownies or allowing me to tag along on a Sunday morning and sit with your family at church. When I came to stay at your house, he was strict but fair and made me feel at home. He had a twinkle in his eye when he thought of something funny and his jokes were clean but made you laugh anyway. I'm very sorry for your loss. I know what it is to lose your parents. I'm sending warm hugs, friendship and all my condolences. - Posted by: Linda Gingera (Old friend of Kim's ) on: Sep 02, 2023
