Ugo Riccio of Winnipeg passed peacefully with family around him on September 1, 2023, at the age of 88.
He is survived by his children, Patrizia (Gary) Crumb and John (Donna) Menza; grandsons, Sean (Alex) Crumb, Michael and Alex Menza. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Remo (Heather Johnson) Capone; nephew Sabastian Capone; niece Elsa (Robert) Lewandowski; and other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; along with his loyal friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Clara Menza.
Ugo was born in Altripalda, Avellino Italy and came to Canada as a young man. He had several trades including as a hairdresser and worked and retired as a tailor for Sears.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital triage and ER who took care of him.
A viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m., with service at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Glen Eden Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4477 Main Street, West Saint Paul, MB.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
