MADELINE MCLEOD

January 22, 1922 – September 10, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother (Zeba), Madeline McLeod. Madeline passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 10th at Tudor House, in Selkirk Manitoba, at a respectable age of 101 years old.

Madeline is predeceased by her first husband, Dave Clark, who died serving his country in the Second World War; her second husband Thomas McLeod; her daughter Shirley Nowak; granddaughters, Sandra Dearman and Audra McLeod; great-grandson Curtis McLeod; and sons-in-law, Bill Foy and John Nowak.

Madeline is survived by her daughters, Donelda Jeffrey and Karen Foy; her son Dennis McLeod; 12 grandchildren and spouses; 30 great-grandchildren and spouses; and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Madeline had a special relationship with everyone who knew her. Whether it was family members or friends, she had the unique gift of making everyone who met her, feel loved and always made it a point to tell her family how special we were to her. Her welcoming smile, joyful laugh, and sense of humour has been a fixture in all family events all of our lives and will remain a part of all of us in the years to come.

Madeline's family will always be grateful to the staff at Tudor House for the exceptional care and compassion they showed Grandma during her time there.

She would joyfully tell us about her days in Tudor House and little stories about the residents and staff that she got to know. While we only knew many of these people through the nickname’s grandma gave them (to remember who everyone was), it was very clear that grandma was happy, and we as her family could not ask for any more than that in her final years.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 29th at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB.
