It is with great sadness we are announcing the passing of Diane, a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Diane passed away at 77 years of age, peacefully at the Carman Memorial Hospital, where she was given great care for the short time she was there.
Dianne leaves to mourn two daughters, Lisa (Ed) and Laura; grandchild Carly (Belayneh); great-grandchildren; sister Evelyn; brothers, Gilbert (Joyce), Alan and Herve; sister-in-law Paulette; nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Dennis; her parents, Irene and Paul-Emile; and her brother Claude.
Diane was born and raised in La Salle. She later moved to Winnipeg and then relocated to Thompson where she gave birth to her first born child. Later she moved back to Winnipeg and raised her family. Diane lived a good life filled with friendships and laughter. Diane started working at Lord Roberts Daycare in 1979 as a child care worker and later became a ECE 3; she loved her career and her co-workers. She retired in 2005 and enjoyed her life by walking daily and chatting with everyone she met.
Diane will be missed dearly by everyone and we wish to give thanks to the staff of Southern Health care, Boundary Trails Hospital and the Carman Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care in her last few days of life.
A burial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on October 7, 2023 at the St. Hyacinthe Parish Cemetery in La Salle, MB.
