Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNESTINE ELIZABETH ANN MCCRINDLE
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Erna on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Erna passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Erna will be deeply missed by her children, Paul and Sara, and her grandchildren, Liam, Gabriella and Emeryce. Also left to mourn are her brothers and sisters, Donna, Tony (Geraldine), Leona (Bill), Alan (Jen) and Joel as well as her Winnipeg family, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and her dear friends.
Erna grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario and moved to Winnipeg at the age 17 after she graduated from Westgate CVI.
From there she found jobs in bookkeeping and met John after being introduced by a friend. They found mutual interests in music, dancing, muscle cars and cruising around the city with their friends for hours.
She worked many jobs to provide for her family, her favourite being the box office manager at the Centennial Concert Hall. Erna was a devoted wife, mother, grandma and friend. She loved her house on Marlton, her attention to detail created a beautiful home for her family. Her favourite place was relaxing by the kitchen window doing a crossword, coffee in hand, looking at her flowers and enjoying the peacefulness of the gardens she created.
Erna had the brightest smile, a contagious laughter and a wicked sense of humour. She loved to travel and had a passion for history, exploration and adventure. She cherished her time in Thunder Bay with her family and spending time with John in Florida with her parents.
Please join us celebrating her life on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn.
In honour of her memory please consider donating blood to Canadian Blood Services or a centre of your choice.
