It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of Wolfgang Peter Zimmermann, 86, on September 10, 2023 at the Grace Hospital. His son Ricky was at his side when he passed.
He is survived by his wife Florence, his four sons Johnny, Ricky, Troy and Cory, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A powerful presence, Wolf touched the lives of everyone he met with his humour and charisma and compassion. He will forever be greatly missed.
Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk.

Dear Flo, Ricky, Troy, Cory, Johnny and families - What sad news I heard today. Trevor received a text from Yvonne and she let him know that Wolf had passed away. Please accept our condolences. We have such fond memories of all of you, our neighbours for 34 years. I can still hear Wolf singing his German melodies while puttering in the kitchen. His many stories, kindnesses and humour are well remembered. I remember Wolf and Bob sitting in ours or his yard, barbecuing with a touch of spirits and talking up a storm. Their laughter was so hearty, it warmed the air around them. I often look at the photos that were taken between the two yards, with the kids; the barbecues, fence painting, gardening, clothesline sharing - so many wonderful memories of good neighbours and friends. May your memories of your husband, father, grandfather soothe the sadness. Recalling those memories will keep him alive in your hearts and minds. God be with you. Ricky and Family I was so sorry to hear about Wolf's passing. My condolences and prays are with you at this time of your loss. Dear Ricky, Florence and Family On Behalf of the Company, Please know that I'm here for you if you need anything I will truly miss your Father, as I have always had great respect for him, in the past 35 plus Years, with him coming to our office, talking on the phone, sharing stories of the day . To the Zimmerman family. Sorry to hear of Wolf's passing. Wolf was a wonderful man and will be truly missed. I spent much enjoyable time with Wolf over the years. Hard working, good sence of humor.
