It is with sad hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, uncle and great-uncle, Brian on Thursday, September 14 at his home in Winnipeg at the age of 56.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his mom Florence, brother Rick, sisters, Janet (Ross) and Karen (Ernie), numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and his roommate Rick.
Brian was predeceased by his dad Charlie and his two brothers, Melvin and Donnie.
Brian was born in Beausejour, MB. He attended Edward Schreyer School and Selkirk Comp. School where he graduated. A few years later he moved to Winnipeg where he worked at a few different jobs. He was hired on at MPI and worked there until his passing.
At a young age Brian loved stock car racing. He would tag along with older brother Melvin and Rick to Winnipeg Speedway, earning himself a spot on Rick’s Pit Crew. In Brian’s spare time he loved to build car models and watch car racing on TV.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E., Beausejour with interment to immediately follow in the Beausejour Town Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy, 204-825 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5 or a charity of your choice.

Brian was a kind and optimistic fellow who always had a kind word. Despite his challenges, he carried on with a positive vibe and always took a moment to chat and share a joke. The workplace won't be the same without him. - Posted by: Charlie P. (Co-worker) on: Sep 19, 2023
