It is with deep sadness that family announce the passing of Jim on September 21, 2023, at the age of 87.
He will be mourned and forever remembered by his wife of 54 years, Gloria (nee Taylor); their sons, Keith, Eric (Twyla), Michael (Monica); daughter Karine Penman (Adam); and his beloved grandchildren, Brasen, Ember, Ilyana, Bianca, Mila and Liam who affectionately called him Poppa or Pops. He was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Bill; his sister Joan Swainson; and his sister-in-law Judith Derksen. He is survived by his sister Lynda Bateman (Doug); and brothers-in-law, Ralph Swainson, and Gordon Derksen.
Respecting Jim’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A family memorial gathering will be planned at a later date.

Sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences. Jim was a very dedicated employee and earned the respect of the crews he supervised and fellow employees. Every job he attended, he was very cost conscience, as if the money was coming out of his pocket.
