Doris came to the end of her very long journey at West Lake Terrace, Prince Edward County, Ontario.
Beloved mother of Catherine Reilly (Robin), Clay Timberg (Terry Roland), Melanie Guest. Predeceased by her husband Edward Timberg; parents, Elsie (Fralick) and Harley Wile; brothers and sisters, Dawson, Bernard, Miriam (Dauphinee) and Grace (Sabourin); as well as nephew Peter, and nieces, Jane and Joanne. She is survived by her grandchildren, Michael Wilde (Jessica Craddock), Morgan Boyd (Ceilidh), Leith Reilly, William Guest, Lee Guest and step-grandchildren, Kenneth Roland and Kim Roland. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Jackson and Cameron Boyd and many nieces and nephews.
Doris was born in Wileville, Nova Scotia. She spent her childhood on the family farm. Surviving polio as a child, she was inspired to a career in nursing, training at Yarmouth General Hospital. Her nursing eventually led her to Norway House Manitoba where she met and married Ed. They settled in Winnipeg where they raised their three children. Doris was a long-time member of the Winnipeg Horticultural Society, the Arthritic Society, and St. Mary's Anglican Church in Charleswood. In her later years, she moved to Prince Edward County, living at The Carriage House and West Lake Terrace.
Doris took great pride and pleasure in her children and grandchildren. She had fond memories of her many friends, siblings, and childhood down home in Nova Scotia.
Many thanks to the staff at West Lake Terrace for their care and support.
There will be a service 2:30 Monday, October 2, at St. Mary's Anglican Church, 3830 Roblin Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, please reach out and phone an old friend who might be lonely and would love to hear your voice.

Dear Melanie, Catherine and Clay, Doris, the most “colourful” mom I ever knew. We laughed together more times than I can count, cried a bit and had wonderful travels down memory lane. Her kindness to me and my family was a real blessing. She was a valuable connection for me to my parents after they passed. We had so much fun recounting the stories between our families over 54 years. I’ve admired her intelligence, spunk and quiet perseverance that brought her to 104. Your mom has been a precious friend to me and I am missing her tremendously, as I know all of you are. Love “little Debbie” - Posted by: Deborah Campbell (Friend ) on: Oct 01, 2023

Dear Melanie and family. I have wonderful memories of your Mom when we were living on Lanark St. I always felt welcomed into your home. She phoned me in the summer of 2012 asking about my family and gave me updates of hers. A very special lady. Sharon Trochim - Posted by: Sharon Trochim (Friend of Melanie Guest) on: Sep 25, 2023
