LOIS MILDRED MORRIS
With great sorrow, our family announces the passing of Lois Mildred Morris on Wednesday September 20, 2023 at the Victoria General Hospital. At the age of 94, Lois passed peacefully with the assistance of the MAiD service with her family by her side.
Lois was born on May 17, 1929 and grew up in Pipestone, Manitoba. She married Jack (John) Albert Morris in 1950, moved to Lac Du Bonnet. In 1954 they eventually settled in Winnipeg and Lois worked at Eaton’s for 25 years.
She had a strong lovable nature for her family and community. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, Al; grandchildren, Jayelle (Roald) and great-grandchildren, Tiaan, Jaycie, Jayden and Jayonne and, partner Sue (children MinSung, Pulum) from Winnipeg. Son Jim (Kathy); grandchildren, Chad and Troy from Denver, Colorado. Lois was predeceased by her husband Jack; brothers, Andy, Lloyd and Ian (Hutch), as they may all now rest in peace.
Lois’s life was centered around those she loved. She always lent a listening ear and a was grandmother to all who needed. She will be remembered by her family and friends as an independent, strong and supportive person. She loved her sports and when she wasn’t attending the hundreds of softball and hockey games for her grandchildren she would be tuning into the Jets, Bombers, Blue Jays in between seasons. Sports certainly kept her busy, but she was always eager to play a game of cribbage and cards.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Victoria General Hospital (4th floor), as well as the additional support from her team of doctors and medical staff at CancerCare Manitoba and the Kidney Health Clinic at St. Boniface Hospital.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place with no formal service to be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation in honour of Lois Morris.

I knew Mrs. Morris many years ago. She was a loving woman who had a very contagious laugh and a great sense of humor. Went to many hockey games with the family to watch Al play. She will be sadly missed by many. RIP Mrs. Morris. - Posted by: Karen Bauch-McClure (Friend of the family ) on: Sep 30, 2023
