With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Ellen Margaret Gould, beloved wife, soulmate, and best friend of husband, Peter who predeceased her. Ellen also leaves behind many friends, brothers and sisters, and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 755 Elm Street on October 21st at 10:30 am.

I first met Ellen in the 7th grade in West Allis, Wisconsin USA. We attended school together thru High School and then began college in 1965 at UW-Milwaukee. It was there that Ellen met my future wife and they became very close friends. In fact, Ellen was our maid of honor when we married in 1970. Distance made it hard to maintain our friendship but we did visit Winnipeg twice and she returned to the USA several times to visit us. We are left with many happy memories. I knew Ellen for a long time from aqua size. She was always a lovely woman. No matter what she was going through, she always asked me how I was and how my health was.
