I met Debbie in 2002 when we both became new employees at Postmedia( Canwest at the time). We hit it off immediately and remained friends until her passing. My husband George and I often looked after Debbie’s beloved KoKo and joked about who would win the custody battle. Debbie’s greatest passion was her family. We looked forward to hearing all the updates in the lives and goings on in the Krystik family. She was so proud of you all. My sincere condolences to your entire family. - Posted by: Elaine Lawson (Friend ) on: Oct 15, 2023

I have finally found the courage to read this. Debbie was a good friend who could always help you forget the woes of your life and find something to laugh about. We spent many hours together watching hockey and football even though many of those were in our respective homes, we often texted back and forth throughout the game. I will miss you Debbie but I am blessed to have known you and be able to call you my friend. - Posted by: Pauline (friend) on: Oct 11, 2023

Spent a lot of time with Debbie back in the days of northwood baseball, she was an amazing ball player and could throw the ball better then most of the boys, Deb was an amazing daughter. I remember seeing them together all the time and you could see how close she was. She talked a lot about family . Family meant a lot to Deb . May you rest in peace dear old friend . - Posted by: Linda (chorney) mcmurtry (Friend ) on: Oct 07, 2023

Aunty Debbie had a big personality. She was passionate about many things and wasn’t afraid to let you know it!! She loved family gatherings and phone calls and time spent with family and friends. Growing up I spent a lot of time with aunty Debbie and her friends. There wasn’t that much of an age difference and she was more like a big sister than an Aunt. She taught me many things including how to drive and how to make a delicious mai tai!! She also gave me an appreciation for music and we would spend many hours listening to her albums!! She was always helpful for babysitting and lending a hand when needed if she was able. Aunty Debbie’s memory will live on in our hearts forever!! She will be dearly missed by all!! I would like to thank Pauline for being there and for her friendship. - Posted by: Lori (Favorite niece ) on: Oct 07, 2023
