It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lorna Hammerstrom on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the age of 96. Lorna was born June 10, 1927 in McLean, Saskatchewan to Fanny and Albert Pinder. Mom married Henry Hammerstrom on November 2, 1945.
Lorna was predeceased by Henry; brothers, Gladstone, Robert, Harold and Edgar; sisters, Miriam Willoughby, Hilda Marosits; granddaughter Sarah Garland; son-in-law Edward Garland.
Lorna is survived by daughters, Valerie Lawson (Bevan) and Loraine (Edward) Garland of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Kathryn (George) Taylor, Steven Lawson, Carolyn Garland (Arturo Javier) and Emily Garland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Thank you to all involved in Mom's care. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place in Regina at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Please consider a donation to your favorite charity.
