LILIAN VIOLET KARDASH

(nee FENIUK)

August 9, 1938 - October 6, 2023

With great sadness, our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, baba, and sister Lily. She peacefully departed from us on Friday, October 6, 2023, at age 85, after courageously battling cancer for many years.
Lily was born on August 9, 1938, in Sarto, Manitoba, to parents, Mary and John Feniuk.
Left behind to mourn her passing and hold dear her memory are her daughter and son-in-law Dawn and John Richardson, two grandsons, LJ and Jo Richardson, brothers, Roy and Eugene Feniuk, sisters, MaryAnne Freund (Arnold), Joannie Levesque, Nicky Peters (Ray), Donna Penner (Keith), Sandra Kehler (Wayne), sisters-in-law Nancy and Myrtle Feniuk, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lily was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Kardash in 1995, brothers, Larry and Donald Feniuk, and brother-in-law Aurel (Shorty) Levesque.
The family would like to express their immense gratitude for the love and care shown by the Palliative Care unit at St. Boniface Hospital to Lily during her extended stay.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Sarto, Manitoba.
The funeral service was held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Dawn I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing, my deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you and your family. Your parents were always nice to me when we were growing up as neighbours down the street. Your dad Joe was the first one to introduce me to seafood mainly Lobster at your family BBQs. Ever since that day I still enjoy that food & think of the memories. Your mom while working at Kmart was always friendly and had a nice smile. She was easy to talk to and was fun to be around. May she rest peacefully with the angels. Take care Susan - Posted by: Susan Sandul (Friend) on: Oct 14, 2023
