Edward (Bill) passed away peacefully on October 8, 2023. He was predeceased by his wife and companion Jeannette. Bill is lovingly remembered by his daughter Nicole (Greg); son Duane (Raechelle); and his three grandchildren, Brayden, Sienna and Emmersen.
Bill was raised on the family farm close to St. Rose du Lac. He loved growing up in the Parkland and farming with his dad. Bill had fun attending local dances and it was at one of these where he met Jeannette. She was the love of his life and they were married for over 50 years.
Bill and Jeannette left the countryside for Winnipeg where they created a family and Bill spent his working life at Bristol Aerospace. He had a true passion for planes so working on them was the perfect career. Bill made many lifelong friends at Bristol and would always tell stories of baseball games, curling matches and other activities with his Bristol crew. He loved sports – especially his Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs – and was always excited to attend his kids’ sports as they grew up.
Becoming a grandfather was an extremely proud moment in Bill’s life. Whether it was playing cards, blasting down waterslides or letting the girls do his nails, he was up for anything they asked.
Bill will be sadly missed by all of us. Rest in peace. We take comfort knowing you are with Mom.
