With heavy hearts, the family of Doug Martens announces his passing in Winnipeg on October 8, 2023, at the age of 70.
Doug will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol; his sons, Chris (Laarni) and Matthew (Meaghan); his mother, Susan; his sister, Sharon (Robert); and his brother, Ken (Wendy); as well as his in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, John.
A service to celebrate Doug's life will be held at McIvor Mennonite Brethren Church, 200 McIvor Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Harvest Manitoba at www.harvestmanitoba.ca/ donate-now in memory of Doug. Alternatively non-perishable food items will be collected prior to the service.

Hello Carol & family, Doug, Carol, Chris & Matthew lived across the street from us for many years. Doug was a special person, caring, kind and considerate - always putting others ahead of himself. He accepted his health issues with strength and grace. We hope memories of him will help you over this sad time. Sending our sympathy.
