GLADYS ZAK
Gladys Zak (nee Wolak) died peacefully at the age of 88 at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg on October 17, 2023, with her family at her side. Gladys is survived by son Robert, son-in-law Ken, sister Carol, and brother George.
Gladys was born to Stephie and Stanley Wolak on February 8, 1935, in Winnipeg. She married her love, Joseph Zak, on June 9, 1956.
Gladys was employed as a bookkeeper for the Federal Department of Transport before taking time to be an excellent homemaker and mother. She later returned to the workforce as a travel agent for both Eaton’s Travel and Klassen Travel. Her love of travelling extended to family trips overseas, including Australia, Hawaii and Europe. Gladys enjoyed many family cruises on Disney Cruise Line. Dressed for dinner with Disney jewelry, she was ready for a formal photo with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Gladys will be remembered as a fun-loving and very generous woman. She was also an excellent cook, which was her favourite hobby. Always the ultimate supportive mother and loving wife, she will be dearly missed and will be remembered in our hearts forever.
A private service will be held.

Dear Robbie, My sincere condolences to you, on the passing of your mom. Auntie Gladys always made get-togethers very special. I always looked forward to her banquet style meals and marveled at the artistic birthday cakes she made for you! She was a kind and giving person. I will always cherish her memory. Sincerely, Jeannie - Posted by: Jeannie Ruczak (Robert's cousin) on: Oct 21, 2023
