Sadly, on Saturday, October 14, 2023, David Albert Hargrave (81) passed away at the Riverview Health Centre after several months of deteriorating health.
David is survived by his children Joanne, Wayne, Patrick and Roy, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. David is predeceased by his parents, brothers, sisters, and wife Marjorie of nearly 40 years.
His career was with the city of Winnipeg as an electrician for 30 plus years. In his spare time, he developed an interest in music and went on to DJ on his own until joining Garry Robertson music service before moving into Nostalgia radio at CJNU for about the last 15 years, he leaves behind a music Legacy Library archive “The David Hargrave Collection” at CJNU Radio where he was an on-air personality and heavily involved in Nostalgia radio preservation.
Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
The family wishes to thank all the dedicated and compassionate staff at 2 West for all the support given in his time of need.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre Respiratory Care

I met Dave in 1985 when I started working at the City of Winnipeg. He helped me get settled in my new position and navigate the Citys protocols. It was the beginning of a great work relationship that would last until he retired. My condolences to Daves family and friends.
