Our deepest sympathy to Anne, Darren and family. Rance was sure a multi-talented man. A deeply caring soul, who loved life, and giving back to his community. What a legacy he has left on the world. He left his mark, which is what all of us hope for in life. A remarkable man! His love springs eternal. - Posted by: Debbie and Gerald Lyle (Cousin to Anne) on: Jan 16, 2024

I lost touch with Rance over the years but fondly remember our time together through high school and our early 20's. Going on dates, some hunting and fishing trips or just driving around spending quality time, Rance was a cherished friend. Joan and I got married on a budget in 1969. Hiring a photographer was out of the question so Rance volunteered to take pictures. I gave him my 35mm [36 exposures!!] and he diligently captured the highlights of the wedding/reception. When asked how the photos "came out", I didn't have the heart to tell him I forgot to put film in the camera. RIP Rance. I regret that I never visited you in more recent times. Condolences to Anne, Darren and Carol. - Posted by: Mark Mattson (Old Friend) on: Nov 04, 2023

So saddened to hear of Rance's passing. He and I were pals in our mid teens (our homes were side by side on Kildonan Drive in EK) and I have many fond memories of just hanging around and chatting about "stuff". He was always a cheerful soul without pretense. Although our lives took separate paths I was always pleased to see him when my travels took me out to LaSalle. Condolences to his wife and son and a warm hello to Carol who I am sure will remember that crazy Hammond family. I know Rance will be missed. - Posted by: Gary Hammond (Old friend) on: Nov 04, 2023
