EDWARD STEVEN GRAMIAK

April 19, 1947 - November 3, 2023

Ed passed away peacefully after bravely battling pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 31+ years Dianne Bassett, his daughter Jamie Hayden (Shelly) and grandchildren, Ethan and Everly, son Kurt Shmon, son Trevor Shmon (Sheri), grandson Chris (Krystal)-Caleb, Caylee, Kacie and grandson Tyler (Janie).
Ed was a dedicated worker who enjoyed people and managed the Winnipeg branch of Crane Steel for 40 years. He had a passion for selling steel structures, especially to northern customers. His other passion was helping others and seeing the 'wonderful' positivity in all.
All of Ed's friends and business associates are welcome to attend a celebration of Ed's wonderful life at The Gates - 6945 Roblin Boulevard, on Wednesday, November 15, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, family ask that you donate to Siloam Mission or to a charity of your choice.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Our friendship started in 1980 when I was starting my career in Sales. Ed took me under his wing and taught me that the relationship far exceeds the business. Ed’s favourite expression back then was people buy from people. That lesson stayed with me all my life. Dianne, my deepest sympathy for your huge loss. - Posted by: Ken Olsen (Long time friend ) on: Nov 11, 2023
