Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID MITCHELL KEMP
It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of David Kemp in his home on November 4, 2023, at the age of 52.
David will be missed every day by his parents (Merilyn and Dayton), Carol, daughters, Julia and Kayla, son J.D. (John Dayton), brothers Steven (Pam), Bruce (Lisa and Maya), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
David was raised in Charleswood, Winnipeg and graduated from Oak Park High School. Growing up, David was full of life, and made friends easily. He was a dreamer who was always inventing new things and strived for excellence in everything he did. David loved to play hockey and baseball and was an avid fan of the Winnipeg Jets and Blue Bombers. David’s greatest joy in life was his children and they knew he was always there for them. He could easily lift them up with his smile and humour.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., at the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue. This service will be live streamed, to view the webcast go to www.neilbardalfuneralhome.com and open David’s memorial page to join us.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the charity of choice.

I was very saddened to hear of David's passing. I will always remember the first day of Grade 7, looking around the classroom and seeing 5 Westdale Warriors in my class, I being the loan Roblin Park Raider. Sitting at the table next to me was Mr. Kemp. Over a few days some evil eyeballing led to some small talk which then quickly led to a great friendship. We both had a deep passion for hockey which was the topic of most of our conversations...and arguments! I will remember David for his tenacity, sense of humour and loyalty to his friends and family. My condolences to the Kemp family. - Posted by: Scott Green (Old school/Hockey friend) on: Nov 20, 2023
