Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, George, passed away peacefully at the Beausejour Hospital on November 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
George will be dearly missed by his devoted wife of 60 years, Marjorie. He was so very proud of his children, Darren (Vicki) and Robyn. George’s grandchildren, Dylan (Brittney and Charlie), Mackenzie (Bob and Madalynn), Madison (Jeremy and Ciara) and Carter, all have so many precious memories of Papa to cherish. George is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Waldref and many nieces and nephews.
Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at East Gate Lodge for the loving care given to George over the past three years. The care and compassion given to George and his family by the Beausejour Hospital staff in his final days was greatly appreciated.
In keeping with George’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in George’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
