Dear Pat and family, John and I send our deepest condolences. We can only imagine the depth of your heartache and hope you may eventually find peace and comfort in the midst of this loss. Her memory will live on in all those who knew her, she will never be forgotten. I was lucky enough to have worked with her for almost 10 years (many many years ago), and she was a big part of making those years one of my favorite times of my working life. I remember one Halloween when we all dressed up for work, she went as Pipi Longstocking and had placed a wire through her hair so her long braids stuck out at each side - it was perfect! But it was her kindness, sense of calm and grace, and her quiet wisdom that will always stay with me. I am also grateful to have briefly reconnected with her this past fall, and she shared with me how happy her family always made her. I am unable to attend her celebration of life, due to a previous commitment but send my love and prayers to you all. - Leanne - Posted by: Leanne Jorgenson (friend and previous co-worker) on: Nov 23, 2023

We will miss Sherry's gentle ways and her friendship over the last 20 years as neighbours at West Hawk Lake. She was an amazing person. Our hearts ache for Pat and family. Ray and Cindy - Posted by: Cindy and Ray Hogue (friends and lake neighbours) on: Nov 20, 2023

My condolences to the O'Connors. I was deeply saddened by the news of her illness and subsequent passing. At work, I was impressed by her dedication and integrity. I regret I will not be able to attend the celebration of her life, I'm out of the country at that time. My heart goes out to her family and friends. Sherry was a high school friend. I never saw her face without a warm, generous smile that radiated from deep inside. Her expression seemed to say that she knew every day is a gift. Sherry's beautiful brown hair swung behind her back and below her waist as she walked through the halls and into our lives with a kindness we may have taken for granted. Unlike some of us, she was calm and wise, even as a young person. When our small group of high school friends recently reconnected over lunch, she told us about her illness. I asked whether she saw things differently knowing her condition. "Nah," she shrugged with a smile, her eyes serene. "Same." She had an inner peace few others do. That's Sherry. Grateful and gracious. A beautiful soul who lived her whole life with love. - Posted by: Carol Brisebois (Friend) on: Nov 19, 2023

Our sincere condolences to Pat and family. We considered ourselves very fortunate to have Sherry and her very close family as lake friends and neighbours. Summer’s were a hi light with the arrival of the entire O’conner/Reid clan. This past summer we looked forward to seeing the smiles of the children running through our forest path. We are extremely saddened and will miss our conversations with Sherry. - Posted by: Ann & Jerry Wind (Lake neighbors) on: Nov 18, 2023

Pat: We are deeply full of sorrow on the loss of your soul mate Sherry. We can barely imagine how extremely difficult it is at this moment, as Sherry was so present in your life. Although it may seem distant now, please remember we do look forward to sharing your distinctive smile and laugh at some point down the road once again.
