I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. I know it’s been more than a year since he passed but I only found out at the provincials last week in Portage. He was a very nice man, a great curler and I only wished he could have stayed with us all longer Hope your family is healing as you morn the loss of John in your lives. Again such a nice man Sincerely, Duane Edwards (old curler) - Posted by: Duane Edwards (Curler) on: Feb 11, 2025

Bev & I are so sorry to hear about John's passing. Our sincerest condolences to you Shirley and the rest of your family! Our paths first crossed on the curling rink many many years ago and our friendship quickly grew from there. It continued at Red River College and then eventually to John's home club - the Wildwood. I joined John's team as a 5th man and spare in 1984 as our son Michael was born in December and we had just moved back from Edmonton. What a year that was with a trip to the 1985 Briar in Moncton! Such great memories and friendships! Michael was only 3 months old and was known as the Bubb's baby with the picture of him & John with his Go Bubbs Go shirt! Michael will be turning 40 next year - where did the time go? He will be missed by so many! Thinking of you & your family! Just want to pass on my condolences to family and friends. I I always enjoyed johnnie bubbly's sense of humour and competitiveness. He was a great curler. Represented our province well on and off the ice. Rest in peace. - Posted by: randy (friend) on: Nov 26, 2023
