Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) ANDERSON
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jack Anderson on November 20, 2023 at the age of 75 years.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Donna, son Kevin (Pam) and granddaughters, Taylor, Kaiebrie and Aundreya. He also leaves to mourn sister Georgia (Jack), brother Grant (Peggy), sister-in-law Linda (Stephen) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Cory in 2000.
Jack was born on June 17, 1948 and grew up in Elmwood where he and Donna attended the same school. They were married in 1972 and enjoyed 51 years together which included many Caribbean cruises and trips to Mexico. He enjoyed playing hockey and golf and coached many St. Vital kids in soccer, baseball and hockey. Jack started his retail journey with The Metropolitan store in Winnipeg which took him to Dauphin and Vancouver.
On his return to Winnipeg in 1975 he began his 33 year career with Sears Canada. Jack was a loving, kind, gentle soul with a terrific sense of humour and quick wit. He could always make us laugh. He was an avid Beatles fan throughout his life and had a special place in his heart for his three granddaughters whom he called his Beatle buddies.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at Thomson "In the Park" on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
