Jack passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 25, 2023.
Jack was predeceased by his wife Miriam (2009); his parents, Victor and Grace; sister Marguerite and brother-in-law Frank; brother Gerald; and sister-in-law Audrey.
Jack will be lovingly remembered by his three sons, Tom (Cathy), Terry (Darlene) and Todd (Susan), as well as nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, awaiting 11; also, his sister-in-law June and his dear friend Helen O’Neill and buddy Brian Dandurand.
Jack was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 24, 1935. He grew up in St. Vital and remained in the area raising his family for many years.
Professionally, Jack was a Chartered accountant (CA). He spent his entire career with Collins Barrow, W. D. Love and company. Jack retired in 1994, at the age of 59.
Jack loved to travel to Mexico as well as bus tours throughout the USA. Jack loved sports growing up and played them all! He was a huge Blue Bomber fan and season ticket holder and attended many games with his good friend Gloria Devries. Jack’s favourite hobbies were reading and all crossword puzzles.
Thank you to Dr. Tyler Atchison for all his care and compassion. Thank you to the dedicated home care providers for their kindness and humanity.
In accordance with Jack’s wishes, cremation has already taken place.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
