It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Daniel Sigmundson. Dan passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Gimli hospital.
He is survived by his three children Melanie Specula, DJ Sigmundson (Kristine) and Jason Sigmundson and their mother Marion Nisbet, his siblings Tammy Axelsson and Gisli Sigmundson (Joan); his grandchildren Tyler (Christianna), Megan (Corey), Alex, Kaylie (Brett), Ryan (Iris), Dylan, Jude and Zen; great-grandchildren Johannah, Arika, Layla, Cameryn, Hudson and Brody. He will also live on in the memory of many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A private family service will be held to celebrate Dan’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Interlake Eastern Health Foundation.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to all of Daniel's family. I always appreciated our discussions about the olden days, which he could recall with great detail. Although I did not know Daniel for a very long time, I certainly enjoyed his warmth, good humour and friendship. May he rest in peace.
