It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul at Deer Lodge Centre on Sunday, December 3, 2023.
His many years of service as a paramedic with the City of Winnipeg resulted in numerous letters of commendation from patients he attended to during those thirty years, until he himself succumbed to his own medical problems.
Many thanks to Dr. Bhuller and staff of the fifth floor of Deer Lodge Centre for the excellent care given to Paul.
A memorial service will be held at Desjardins Funeral Home, 357 DesMeurons St., Winnipeg on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 2:00p.m.
A private burial will take place at a later date.

Very saddened to hear of Paul's passing. He was a coworker we worked at times together and he was a very good mentor from whom I learned a lot of my skills from. I met Paul through Coffee & Chat five years or so ago. He always had thoughtful comments and kind words to share. He offered gentle encouragement and was a special person indeed. I offer my condolences to his family and friends. I saw Paul a few years back and was saddened to see how much he was suffering. Paul and I were the lunchtime DJs at Collège secondaire de St. Boniface. He had an uncanny way of making me laugh. I nick named him Flipper because he had big feet. (Now so do I!) I can only imagine the horrors he had to witness in the course of his duties as an amazing paramedic. Thank you for taking me to see Harry Chapin before he died. It was an amazing concert! So very sorry to hear of Paul's passing. Paul was a good friend of my son, Braden, who passed away in 2021. Paul reached out to me and together we shared stories of Braden and our grief in losing him. Paul helped me through the most difficult time of my life. I will always be grateful for his kindness and friendship. He is no longer in pain, rest easy Paul.
