It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marco Racciatti on December 1, 2023. He passed away peacefully at home after catching pneumonia in October that caused his heart to weaken.
Marco will be greatly missed by his daughter Maria (Rick), grandchildren, Sophie and David, and son Nino. He was predeceased by his mother Concetta, father Nicola, sister Teresa, brother Tomasso, son Giovanni, and son Nicola. He leaves to mourn numerous family and friends in Italy and Winnipeg.
Marco was born in Guilmi, Italy, and came to Canada to provide the best life he could for his family. He worked very hard as a bricklayer and later at Motor Coach Industries. Marco enjoyed his retirement with his daily trips to Garden City shopping centre to meet with friends and was a member of the Amici Abruzzesi club. He loved gardening and sports but his greatest joy was his family. The highlight of his week was our Sunday family dinner with his grandchildren. Marco lit up every room he entered with his laugh and smile. He loved to talk to everyone and he always made friends everywhere he went.
Riposa in pace Pa and Nonno. You will live in our hearts and our many happy memories forever.
Condolences will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue. Burial will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens at 1501 Waverley Street.

Our deepest condolences to Maria, Rick, Sophie, David, and Nino. Marco will live forever in our hearts for his infection smile and happy disposition. His laughter filled the room and his kind and gentle nature lives on in the Racciatti Family.
