Peacefully, after a 2-week battle with a traumatic brain injury sustained from an accident, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Heath Barry John Palendat (Jr.) on December 11, 2023 at the age of 24 in Winnipeg, Manitoba with his family by his side.
Heath was born on May 3, 1999 to proud parents Heath Palendat (Sr.) and Denise Palendat. He was the rambunctious younger brother of his two sisters, Brianna and Megan: the adored grandson to Sharon, Larry, Josephine and John (deceased) and the playful uncle of John and Landon. Heath will also be greatly missed by all his extended family and friends.
Heath spent his adult life working alongside his father as a roofer. When he wasn’t roofing, he was spending time with his family and friends who he loved so deeply. He also enjoyed music, the outdoors, fishing and making people laugh with his outrageous humour.
Heath was a very loyal and protective person to everyone he cared about, which made him all the more loveable. He was taken too soon and will be missed forever.
A special thanks to the nurses at the SICU at HSC, for the amazing care they gave Heath.
His family will be holding a Celebration of Life to honour and remember Heath on January 13, 2024 at Wojcik’s Chapel of Memories, 1020 Main Street at 1:00 p.m.

It is with such agony, heartbreak, and pain beyond belief that the family of Heath Jr. Barry John Palendat, son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend, announce his passing at the Health Sciences Centre, Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 24.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I've known Heath since his days at Park LaSalle school and his long friendship with my granddaughters Syd and Ken. I recall watching them all at their annual school Christmas concerts so full of life and promise. I know what he meant to my girls and how close they were.
