DONALD F. FARR

Donald F. Farr of Minnedosa passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2023, at the Minnedosa Personal Care Home at the age of 71 years. Don was born June 3, 1952, in Winnipeg to Fred and Marion Farr and resided with his family on Queen Street in St. James. In 1975, Don married Debbie Hudson, enjoying 48 years of marriage. Don and Deb had 3 sons, Cameron, Graeme and Greg (Krista). In 1974, Don joined the Scotiabank. During his time with the bank, he transferred many times in Winnipeg, as well as to Portage la Prairie, Winnipegosis, and then Thompson. He then changed course and joined the Minnedosa Credit Union in 1990 as the General Manager. Don belonged to many organizations in Minnedosa and was on the Credit Union Central’s Board.

Don had a stroke in 2011 which ended his career. Don worked very hard through all his various rehab therapies and was able to return home with a few modifications made to the home. Unfortunately, Don broke his hip this year and passed away peacefully at the Minnedosa PCH. The funeral service was held at the Minnedosa Conference Centre with Kathy Platt officiating, and interment taking place in Minnedosa Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Cameron, Graeme, Greg, and Krista.

If friends so desire, donations in Don’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Minnedosa and District Foundation or the Minnedosa Golf Course.
