I met Rick a few years back. We would met up almost daily for coffee at 6 am with the coffee group at the McDonald's on Cavalier. Even during Covid we met in the parking lot! We immediately connected due to our shared experiences... Rick's in the military and mine with the Fire Department. I understood the struggles he had, and we just talked about it on the Saturday before he passed. We made plans to have coffee on Wednesday. Sadly coffee did not happen.
