Born: Apr 03, 1943
Date of Passing: Dec 19, 2023
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA (PAT) ELLEN PRICE
Pat Price passed away peacefully at home alongside her husband Harry of 57 years and her three children, Richard, Tamara (Jason) and Kelly (Roland).
Pat was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Sheila Bennett, her sisters, Anne and Mary, and her brother David. Pat will be dearly missed by her six grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Madison, Reanne, Lauren and Jack, her sister Sue Gillot and family in Texas, her eldest niece Karen Harris in Vermont and numerous nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.
Pat was born and raised in East Kildonan moving to East St. Paul in her early teens, attending Prince Edward, Polson, Melrose, and River East and finally graduating from Business College in accounting in 1962.
Skating, baseball and hanging out at Kelvin Community Club were favourite pastimes and it was in the winter of 1960 that Pat met her future husband - a curly haired guy whose hockey career had just ended due to injury.
In 1966 Pat and Harry were married and ventured to Anaheim, California to seek fame and fortune. After two successful years and welcoming their son, Pat and Harry agreed that their future happiness was where they met and grew up in Winnipeg. Time spent at the family cottages at Laclu played a big part in the decision to move home.
Richard, Tamara and Kelly were lovingly raised and schooled in Morse Place and in 1982, Pat rejoined the work force at Richardson Greenshields where she retired in 1997. As a working mom, she didn’t miss a beat with our household running like a well oiled machine and homemade dinner on the table by 5:30 every evening.
Starting in 1999, and right to the end, Pat’s love of family went to another dimension with the arrival of her six grandchildren. Their "Nanny’s" love for them was returned six-fold.
Harry and Pat enjoyed many years of travelling together including European and Winter Caribbean vacations. Some of Mom’s best times include sitting on the deck at LacLu surrounded by family and friends, trips to Mahnomen, "Broad Squad" get-togethers in Grand Forks and "Huskette" weekends at the lake.
Nanny/Mom/Pat’s legacy of love for family and friends displayed throughout her entire life will enable us all to move forward.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I was lucky to live just down the street from the Price family. I grew up playing with the two sisters down the back lane, Tamara and Kelly. I was a little nervous of Mrs.Price when I first met her, but I soon learned she was a wonderful lady! She was generous and kind, had a great sense of humor, and often found a spot for me at her table. I have fond memories of a few visits to to Lac Lu and all the fun had there. My deepest condolences to Mr.Price, Richard, Tamara and Kelly. - Posted by: Melissa J Campbell (Neighbor) on: Jan 05, 2024

Pat was the mother-in-law I always wanted...she was straight to the point and an awesome cook in the kitchen...Loved sharing a glass of wine with her and talking about her kids and grandkids. She will be greatly missed at Lac Lu, ill miss the egg salad sandwiches and her awesome chocolate chip cookies. Till we meet again Pat xo - Posted by: Deborah Wiebe (Friend) on: Jan 05, 2024

Uncle Harry, Richard, Tamara and Kelly. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time. We will all share in your grief. I have wonderful memories of Aunty Pat from when I was a little boy, especially from summers at Lac Lu. She was like my "lake mom" playing cards with all of us, caring for us if we got bumps and scrapes, making sure I had lots of sun screen on as I was that pasty white kid that would surely need Noxeema if not protected. She always made the best Velveeta cheese sandwiches and Kraft Dinner. Again, please accept our deepest condolences. Love, Jason, Tammy, Stephanie and Alice Price. - Posted by: Jason Price (Nephew) on: Jan 03, 2024

Deb and I are so saddened by your loss. Rich, from the years working with you, your invitations to have us join your family at Christmas in East St. Paul, and to the summers at Lac Lu with your entire family were amazing. Your mother and your family were tremendously hospitable. We are so privileged to have friends like you. We are lost for words at this difficult time but the many memories will always be remembered. - Posted by: Rob and Deb Dohan (Friends ) on: Dec 31, 2023

Our deepest sympathy Harry and family. We have many wonderful memories of Pat, from hockey get-togethers, Christmas Eve celebrations and fun in the sun at Lac Lu. Pat was a wonderful friend, feeding Randy whenever he dropped in, hosting a bridal shower for Bev, as well as hosting our wedding rehearsal party at her home. We still have all the Barbie dolls she bought Jaclyn and Erin, as well as the Cabbage Patch doll clothes she made. Our granddaughters have enjoyed playing with them too. Although we didn't see each other often, after our move to Calgary, we kept in touch which meant so much. We are so thankful Pat was a part of our lives for so many years. We will cherish the memories of her friendship. - Posted by: Randy & Bev Skubovius (longtime friends) on: Dec 31, 2023
