Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Valerie (age 62) on the morning of December 27th, 2023. Valerie was born on October 4th, 1961 in Pine Falls, MB, and grew up on the farm with her mother, father, brother Melvin and sister Eva.
Valerie put in over 30 years of service at our local post office, where she greeted everyone with the brightest smile. Val met Raymond in 1978 and from there, their love blossomed. They went on to have two beautiful boys together, five grandchildren and six step-grandchildren. She loved her boys, and she was so proud of all of their hard work regardless of how inconvenient and demanding it got at times. And while Valerie definitely loved her boys, her girls were her pride and joy. Valerie loved her bingo. Saturday mornings with Wayne and Kailey quickly turned into some of her favourite days.
Valerie will be deeply missed by her sons, Timothy and Andrew (Eve), Raymond, partner Wayne, grandchildren Cassidy, Madeline, Savanah, Solona, Daisy, Danica, Declan, Kallan, Mia, Sarah, and Draven, great-grandchildren Aria and Levi, sister Eva, daughters-in-law Holly, Kirsten, and Kailey as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Valerie is predeceased by her brother Melvin, father Alfred and mother Christine, as well as many aunts and uncles.
Val will be missed most for her contagious smile, her cackling laugh and her compassion.
Funeral services will be held at Sobering Funeral Home in Beausejour, MB, on January 4th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
