After a lengthy illness Querino D’Ottavio, age 84 years, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2024, while surrounded by his loving family.
He will be forever missed by his wife of 63 years, Maria, son Michele, daughters, Josie (Scott), Elena (Dale), Lola (Mike), grandchildren, Michelina, Kyle and Lissandra.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michele and Giuseppina, brother Cesare, sisters, Maria and Silvia. He is survived by brothers, Vittorio, Fernando, Nello and sister Gina.
Querino retired as a Crane Operator from CP Rail after 35 years of service.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and spending time with them above all else. In his spare time, he also enjoyed working on his GMC truck, taking care of his and Maria’s beautiful garden, and spending time outside on warm summer days. His bright smile, unconditional love for his family, and infinite generosity to those in his life, shall remain forever etched in our hearts.
The family also wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for their care and support.
Funeral service will be held Friday, January 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with viewing between 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thompson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, MB.
