Mom passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on January 9, 2024 after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her son Doug (Debby); grandchildren, Trent and Fawn (Jay); great-grandchild Leland; her daughter June (Ross); and siblings, Betty, Brian and Ruth.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Earl; parents, George and Alexandra; and siblings, Bill, Rod, and Kay.
Mom was born and raised in St. James and spent the majority of her life there. She married Earl in 1958 and they were inseparable until Dad’s passing in 2006.
She enjoyed working at Beaver Lumber, and over 25 years at The Bay, in the cash office, until her retirement. Never one to sit still, Mom and Dad kept very busy after retirement with volunteering, bowling (which she loved), activities at Deer Lodge 55+, and church. Mom continued to stay active until her health no longer allowed.
The family would like to extend our thanks to Lions Manor staff on the 5th and 3rd floors, for their kind and compassionate care.
A small family service will take place in the spring.
