Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I often thought of Ms. Korba as I navigated adult life. I struggled with Math and Ms. Korba found away to help me understand and succeed. I often thanked her silently for never giving up on me and for that I’m truly grateful. She was an amazing teacher, kind hearted and was so joyful no matter the circumstances. Rest easy Ms.Korba, thank you for being so patient and kind hearted. - Posted by: Theresa Lorteau (Former student) on: Jan 27, 2024

  • We were on staff together at St. John’s High between 1967 and 1975. We also shared many noon breaks at the same lunch table. Holly was a gentle soft-spoken person who was a friend to all. RIP in peace Holly, it was a pleasure to have known you. Sincerely Cheryl Willis. - Posted by: Cheryl Willis (Fellow staff member) on: Jan 27, 2024

  • It is with sadness and a broken heart to hear that Holly has left us, that I send love and condolences to the family and loved ones of my dear teacher friend Holly. Our teacher get togethers and photos taken are now very precious memories to me. Goodbye dear friend and may you be in God’s caring hands now. • I got to know Holly as a fellow math teacher at Sisler High School. Her strength of character, calm demeanor and dedication to her profession was immediately appreciated . Students not only respected her knowledge of mathematics, they loved her ability to explain concepts and to provide them with comforting assurance that they could succeed. Her patience helped so many students. Such a lovely person. - Posted by: Denise Henrie (fellow teacher ) on: Jan 20, 2024
