On Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the Portage District Hospital, Ed Martin, aged 80 years, of Elm Creek, MB, beloved husband of Brenda Martin.
Funeral service will take place from the Elm Creek Community Hall on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will take place at Doyle’s Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Ed Martin trucked a lot of loads for Finmac Lumber over the years! Ed was a genuine soul, always had a story (or three) when he visited the office. Even during his last visit here in 2023, he was commenting on how he still did the Ice Roads.... "The young punks nowadays have no idea!" he said. Rest in Peace Ed, you deserve it!
