It is with great sadness, wrapped in our love and gratitude for her life so well lived with countless gifts of herself to others, that we share the news of Phyllis’ peaceful passing with family at her side at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora.
Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, 1:00 p.m., Old Armouries, 316 1st St. N, Kenora, ON (corner of 1st N. and Matheson; on street parking or lot adjacent to Armouries at top of hill). It will also be livestreamed and recorded.
Phyllis loved a party. In that spirit we invite family and friends to stay (or return) to join us for more stories, refreshments and music at the Old Armouries (3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.)

On behalf of the WGH/HSC Nurses’’ Alumni we extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Phyllis on her recent passing. She was an active, engaged member of our Alumni Executive. She served as Class Representative of her 1954 nursing class, as 2nd Vice President of the Alumni Association and as Convenor of our Annual Homecoming Dinner, (not an easy task), at various times over many years. She came to Class Rep meetings and attended the annual dinners faithfully for as long as she was able to do so. She will be missed by her many classmates and friends that had the privilege of knowing and interacting with her over these many years.
