At the age of 101 Margarethe Steinmann passed away peacefully at Misericordia Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Steinmann, and two sons, Roland and Juergen. She is survived by her son, Ralph (Gypsy) Steinmann, and daughter-in-law, Anne Raess of Switzerland.
At the request of the deceased, no service will be held. Cremation will take place and private interment will take place at a later date.

We have so many wonderful memories of Tante Gretel. Many of them were about the visits we had during our summers spent at St. Laurent, MB where we each had built a place to stay by Lake Manitoba. Our children were little when we first started spending our summers at the lake and got to know their great aunt for many years. We have fond memories of shared meals, campfires on the beach roasting marshmallows and hotdogs, and watching fireworks by the lake to celebrate Canada Day. Our sympathies to Ralph and Gypsy and other family and friends who knew her and loved her as we did.
