Ronald Wayne Maxwell, passed away in the early morning of Sunday, January 28, 2024, at his home in Douglas, Manitoba at the age of 74.
Ron leaves behind his wife, Debbie; sons Sheldon, Devon and Jason; god-daughters Kayla Snow and Jennifer Snow (Ryan); three beautiful grandsons, Carter, Chael and Rome Curtis; mother-in-law, Hazel Henderson; brothers-in-law David (Ruth) and Dale; sister-in-law Diane (Sandy Hopkins), and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.
Ron was pre-deceased by his parents, Stan and Bea Maxwell, twin brother Ray and his wife Linda, and his father-in-law, Wallace Henderson.
Also left to mourn his passing are his many students, past and present, who rode his bus and made his final years exciting (and sometimes frustrating!!).
No funeral service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held in June to celebrate Ron’s 75th birthday.
A time for visitation/viewing will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Memories Chapel, 330 – 18th Street North, Brandon, Manitoba.
Ron’s favorite quote: “Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely, in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting “Holy S**t”, what a ride!”
