Memere will be forever remembered by her grandchildren, Dustin (Riley), Karen, Chantel (Omar), Russell (Amber), Ryan, Jasmine (Jamie), and Megan (Josh). She is survived by her loving sisters, Louise Nolette and Jeannine (Louis) Saurette. She will be remembered by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She leaves behind her legacy of strength, patience, candor, kindness, humility, humour and love. She had a strong Catholic faith and has many loved ones to welcome her with God into Heaven.

Angèle was born in Ste. Agathe, Manitoba, on August 16, 1929 and grew up in a proud farming community. After marrying Omer they moved to St. Boniface to raise their family. Over the years they treasured their time together at the cottage in St.Malo and Beausejour. In recent years she found a new community of friends in Villa Aulneau. Angèle worked for the Church in St. Bernadette Parish and St. Boniface Hospital in housekeeping. She was a foster parent for more than a decade, opening her home and heart to many children.

She always looked forward to spending time with friends and family, enjoying a game of cards and having a visit. Among her favourite hobbies were celebrating her Métis heritage through square dancing at the Festival du Voyageur, spending time in the garden and being out in nature. Later in life, she was able to fall in love again, when she met Denis Riel. They shared many happy years together before he passed. She had a sharp mind to the end and always shared past memories. Angèle will be missed by her friends and staff members at Villa Aulneau. Angèle made an impact on all those she met and will be missed tremendously.

A public viewing will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at Desjardins Funeral Home.

She was an Angel who lived among us and now she has returned to God above.
