WALTER JAMES HENDERSON

May 1, 1973 - December 22, 2023

With shock and sadness, we share the news that Walter Henderson died on December 23, 2023.

Walter was predeceased in this difficult year, by his loving wife Kellie (nee Yakiwchuk) and his mother Linda. He is survived by his treasured son Roman.

Walter will be deeply missed by his father Ted and his wife Wendy. He will be lovingly remembered by each of the Henderson, Weremiuk, Yakiwchuk families. Kellie and Walter’s many friends grieve these untimely losses.

Walter was born May 1, 1973, in Winnipeg, where he lived his whole life.

He met Kellie, and they married in a beautiful ceremony on June 1, 2002. They joyfully welcomed Roman in 2004. Walter was a part of the First Unitarian Universalist Church community, where they marked these life events.

Walter was a valued member of the City of Winnipeg staff and a loyal Bombers and Jets fan. He enjoyed card and board games and had a strong group of friends who he held onto even in these recent tough times.

Upbeat and easy-going, he loved sports and music and enjoyed life with his family and friends.

Loving husband, dedicated dad, treasured son, valued nephew and cousin, kind-hearted friend - he will be deeply missed and long remembered.
