VERN FUNK
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Uncle and Brother, Vern Funk at the age of 73.
Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of his life will be held.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation to the Parkinson Canada - Winnipeg or the Alzheimer’s Society in Vern’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
Longer obituary to follow.

Vern grew up one block north of me, in Gretna. Four years older than me I remember him as a hockey player and curler. A member of that bigger than life group of Bob Teichroeb, Charlie Pieper, Ken Sawatzky and others they helped me to feel safer and dream bigger. Melanie I am sorry for your loss. The mosaic of my early days has another piece missing, it's texture less rich. - Posted by: Shaun Friesen (Neighbour) on: Feb 08, 2024

Vern, Ted Evans, and I attended Red River College together, became Realtors at Block Brothers and shared a 3 bedroom apartment in St. James. We were like brothers going thru good and bad times!! Fun times too! I'll miss you Vern!!! - Posted by: Jim Novotny (College buddies, roomates, Realtors at Block Brothers, and friends! ) on: Feb 03, 2024
